Sattva Media and Consulting Private Limited (“Sattva”, “we”, “us” or “our”) has issued this Privacy Policy (“Policy”), in accordance with applicable law relating to data protection and it governs our collection, processing, disclosure and retention of your information through a third-party platform that facilitates the recruitment and program lifecycle management for the Goldman Sachs 10,000 Women India program (“Program”). Please read this Policy carefully to understand our policies and practices. By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to accept all the terms contained in this Policy and acknowledge and agree with the practices described herein. If you do not agree with the terms of this Policy, please do not access and use the Platform.
2.1 To offer you the best experience and manage your participation in the Program, we collect certain personal information, such as:
2.2 To access the features and services of the Platform, you must register and obtain a personal username and password. Your personal information can only be retrieved by supplying the correct username and password linked to your profile. Please note that your account and password are intended for your use only and should not be shared with others.
3.1 We also collect your information using cookies. Cookies are anonymous, and unique alphanumeric identifiers sent from the Platform and stored in your web browser while you are browsing, through which, we collect your Internet Protocol (IP) address, browser type and version, operating system, date/time stamps, pages viewed, features accessed, interaction patterns, etc. to enhance your experience and for session management, analytics and personalization.
3.2 By continuing to use the Platform, you consent to the collection and use of cookies. You can control the use of cookies through your web browser settings. Opting out of cookies increases privacy but may limit website functionality, personalization, and convenience for you.
4.1 At the outset, we wish to tell you that we do not sell, trade, rent, or otherwise transfer personal information to others for marketing purposes. Your personal information may be used in the manner set out herein.
4.2 Program administration and implementation: Your information will be shared with the Program stakeholders to enable us to administer the Program, including (a) Goldman Sachs, its affiliates and their respective directors, partner, employees and representatives (collectively, “Goldman Sachs”), (b) partner institutions who implement the Program (e.g., the Indian Institute of Managements); (c) affiliated entities such as mentors, interviewers, due diligence (KPMG) and background check partners for evaluation and Program delivery; and (d) other contractors and service providers, such as providers of Platform hosting and analytics services. We use your information to facilitate programmatic operations such as application intake, selection, mentorship, reporting, providing feedback, follow ups, etc.
4.3 Non-consent based disclosures: We may also disclose your personal information (a) to comply with any court order, law, or legal process, including to respond to any government or regulatory request, (b) if we believe it is necessary or appropriate to protect our rights, property, or safety of our staff, our clients, vendors, or others, and (c) for the purposes of fraud protection, credit risk reduction, and for other regulatory compliances or related reasons or as permitted under law.
4.4 Communication and Customer Support: We also use your personal information to (a) send you reminders and notifications with respect to your applications, your User Account, Program activities on the Platform, etc.; and/or (b) provide you with customer support, including technical support and troubleshooting (for example, to reset your password), related to your use of the Platform.
4.5 Improvement and Upgrades: We may use your information for our research, to improve the functionality of the Platform, and to perform internal analyses.
4.6 Newsletter and Program Updates: You can opt out of our newsletter emails or messages anytime by clicking the UNSUBSCRIBE link at the bottom of any of our email or message correspondences.
5.1 We engage third-party entities and individuals to facilitate the Program (“Service Providers”), including Goldman Sachs to implement the Program and to provide the Platform on our behalf. These third parties have access to your personal information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose.
5.2 The Platform may include links to third-party websites or services, which are operated by third parties and are not controlled by, affiliated with, or associated with us unless explicitly stated. We do not endorse or make any representations regarding the privacy practices, policies, or terms of use of these third-party entities. Any information you provide to these third-party sites will be governed by their respective privacy policies. You are advised to review the privacy policy of any website or applications before using it or sharing your personal data.
6.1 The personal information belonging to you is stored on servers that are behind a security system and are within secured data centres. The Platform provider implements industry-standard administrative, technical, and organisational safeguards to protect personal information, including data encryption in transit and at rest, Role-Based Access Control and authentication protocols, and logical data segregation to ensure information from one client is kept separate from others. Additionally, Program stakeholders engaged by us shall also be under an obligation to secure your data.
6.2 You should know, however, that we cannot fully eliminate the risks of a data breach or hacking or other fraudulent accesses to personal information that has been collected. Therefore, while we strive to protect your information, we cannot ensure and do not warrant the absolute security of any information you transmit to us. We are not responsible for circumvention of any privacy settings or security measures contained on the Platform. While we have taken reasonable steps to prevent internet fraud and ensure any data collected from you is stored as securely and safely in accordance with applicable law, we cannot rule out nor be held liable in the unlikely event of a breach resulting in hacking or other malicious forms of data access/theft etc.
6.3 Any data breaches and/or security lapses you may identify on the usage of the Platform, may be reported by email to the Grievance Officer as provided below.
To exercise any of the below rights or seek further details on the process, you are encouraged to contact us using the details provided below. Requests will be processed within 10 days, or in accordance with applicable law.
7.1 Data retention: We retain any information that you may have provided to us for as long as required for the specific purpose(s) for which it was collected. Data retention is governed by the Program lifecycle, which may involve archiving or deleting data after a certain period (e.g., 2-3 months for rejected applications), or retaining it for the duration of the Program and for post-Program monitoring, impact measurement, alumni/network building, etc. Upon termination or expiry of our agreement with Goldman Sachs or early termination of the Program, all personal data may be permanently deleted from our systems within 90 days, provided that we reserve the right to retain it to comply with applicable data protection laws or if so required for regulatory compliance and transfer the data to Goldman Sachs under contractual agreement.
7.2 Consent withdrawal: You can withdraw your consent for storing and/or processing of your information at any time. However, if you choose to withdraw your consent, you must be aware that this could impact the Program delivery and administration to you.
7.3 Access or deletion of information: You have the right to access or request the correction of your information from our systems, including updating incomplete information, by reaching out to the Grievance Officer as provided below.
7.4 Grievance redressal mechanism: You have the right to a grievance redressal provided by us in respect of any act or omission by us regarding the performance of our obligations in relation to your information.
The Platform targets an audience that is over the age of 18 and it does not offer any services or seek information from persons under the age of 18 years. If you are a parent or guardian of a child under 18 and believe that such child has disclosed personal information to us, please contact the Grievance Officer.
We may make changes to this Policy, based on our periodic reviews. Any changes to our Policy will be posted on this page so that you are aware of our policies. Your continued use of the Platform constitutes your consent to such modifications. You are encouraged to periodically review the current version of the Policy available on the Platform.
This Policy shall be governed by and constructed in accordance with the laws of India. The courts in Bengaluru, India shall have the exclusive jurisdiction to determine any disputes arising in relation to, or under this Policy.
